This week has gone by so fast!
What have you been up to?
My week has been awesomely busy. I started offering facial services this week at my spa! The response so far has been great! π I am so blessed to be living one of my dreams! π
I want to share something with you that I have been loving lately! I never thought that this item would be a step in my makeup routine that I can’t live without!
I’m talking about highlighting!
For years, I’ve contoured, but never highlighted. And I never really felt the need. Until recently.Β I like to keep my every day makeup look simple and natural. I have always loved a matte look to my makeup, but I’ve been curious about trying the ‘dewy’ makeup look for awhile. I thought I would start with a simple powder highlighter.
Highlighting has become soooooo popular in the last few years. It can be overwhelming adding a new makeup item to your collection. Especially when it’s a popular trend because EVERY single brand launches a version of that product. Which is actually good and bad. It’s good because you can find that product at many price points and pick the best one for your budget. π But it can also be overwhelming and hard to make a decision based on all the varying opinions and reviews.
The Flower Beauty Shimmer and Strobe highlighter was recommended to me…by a Youtuber. Rarely do I buy anything suggested by a Youtuber. I like to do my own research before buying anything and everything they suggest. But I am so glad I bought this!
I like this highlighter for several reasons;
- It’s affordable. I’ve said before, I’m a drugstore girl at heart. I just can’t bring myself to spend $50 on a highlighter. Or any makeup for that matter.
- It gives you options. There are 3 different colors that you can use alone or mixed together. My favorite colors are the first and the third, but lately, I’ve been mixing all three together. π
- The brush is AMAZING. Normally the brushes that come with compacts are awful, but this one is PERFECT for every part of your face.
- I like the powder formula because it wears beautifully throughout the day with the rest of my makeup. Sometimes cream or liquid highlighters can be a little harsh.
If you want to try your hand at highlighting, I highly suggest the Flower Beauty Shimmer and Strobe Highlighting Palette. It’s affordable and easy to blend if you apply too much. π
