The Whole 30: My Story of Obedience

When the Lord began speaking to me about starting this blog, this was one of the topics He brought to the front of my mind to share one day:obedience.

When you hear the word obedience, what comes to mind? Parents and children? Citizens and the law? Believers and Christ?

Obedience is defined as the submission to another’s authority. As believers, the Bible tells us over and over in many different contexts to be obedient. Children honor your parents. Wives honor your husbands. Servants honor your masters.

As believers, we are to honor the Lord with our obedience. Obedience equals love, does it not? Think about it. When we really love someone, when we really believe in, love and respect them, don’t we honor them with our words AND actions?

One of the hardest things we will do as believers is obey God’s Word. It’s easy to say that we believe this and that, but to actually do it is another story. This story actually. My Whole 30 story. My story of obedience to the Lord in one particular area of my life:food.

If you are struggling with food-related strongholds, I hope this video encourages you to give it over to the Lord and let Him help you.
